Chilly Willy Yellow

The Yellow Peter Pepper (capsicum annum) is very rare. Like it's Red relative the Yellow Peter Pepper is shaped like a male sex organ. It's origin is believed to be Appalachia, United States. The heat level of Peter Peppers is somewhat hotter than a jalapeno. The Yellow Peter Pepper's heat level is slightly lower than the Red Peter pepper. People grow these mostly for their novelty, but Peter Peppers have a good hot pepper flavor that is good for most spicy dishes and salsas. Peter peppers are easy to grow and do well in pots or containers.

Bishop’s Crown Peppers
are exceptionally tangy, sweet and fruity, giving a deeply sunny pep to your dishes.

Bishop’s Crown Peppers are satisfingly spicy too, but not super-hot like many other chilli peppers we sell. Bishop’s Crown Peppers range from 5,000 to 30,000 units on the Scoville Heat Scale. That’s about the same as a Jalapeño, or Tabasco . The body of the Bishop’s Crown Pepper contains little heat, the firepower being in the seeds and white pith.

Their wonderfully fruity taste makes Bishop’s Crown Peppers amazing in salsa and pickles, and you can eat them fresh or dried.

Hungarian Wax Chilli Peppers
The mildest variety of chilli pepper we grow and a whopping 15 to 20cm in length, averaging 5cm in diameter.

We harvest these peppers at two different stages of maturity. Half of the crop is picked as they ripen from a dazzling lime green, to a yellow-green. At this stage they have a sweet, fresh taste with very little heat. The remaining fruits are left until they become a rich orange red, with a natural ”beeswax’ sheen (hence the name). The vibrant, fresh flavours, remain intact, whilst the fruits maturity has pushed it up the heat scale.
